Dental Assisting Students earning BLS Certificate

DCDS Dental Assisting School provides foundational knowledge to prepare students to satisfy additional training and testing requirements of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in:

  • BLS Certification

  • United States Department of Health and Human Services required HIPAA/HB300 Safelock Certification

  • Texas dental assistant registration including making x-rays

  • Monitoring nitrous oxide conscious sedation

  • Pit and fissure sealants

  • Coronal polishing

These skill areas are widely sought by dentists, and many dental assisting programs do not provide them as part of their training.
